My guess is Constantinople would've needed less of it. There was probably a huge fishing industry, not to mention that its port was one of the biggest trade centers in the world at the time. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Well, they would still need to deliver some animals like chickens then. Would love to see some birds like pigeons pecking at the ground for food too. Not just on buildings roosting :P </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Well it could be that most of the farms are outside the city walls. It's not unusual.
