Thread: "Caching SM 3.0 Shaders..." | Forums

  1. #1
Does anybody else get this 10 second loading screen each time they load a level or return from an alt+tab?

I have SM 3.0 enabled with all it's options on my 6600GT, but I get that message every time and it's mildly annoying. Anybody have ideas on how to fix? Thhhhhhhanks.

It does what it says, the game is caching the shader instructions so it won't have to read data from your harddrive just because you come across a new surface that uses sm3.0 shaders...

PC needs a CE, the only way to stave off piracy is giving more!

Indeed, be thankfull that the game pre caches that data. Pauses or slowdowns DURING playtime would be way more annoying.

anyway that message is normal , its just so it doesnt render everything in real time so there are no pauses or "jerky" moments.
