Thread: Everything was perfect until today. | Forums

Purchased this game last week and absolutely am in love with it. I have been playing with all the settings set to the maximum without the slightest flaw or problems until today. Don't ask me why, the game would keep crashing to the desktop to begin with, then I keep getting lag every now and then, sometime while playing and sometime on the menu screen. Then now it is getting more serious, it crashed twice while I was playing through the Comcast event map. Is there any particular fixes as I don't understand why it suddenly starts acting like this since it has been playing fine before today.

    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
    CPU Fan: Thermaltake GoldenOrb II
    Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM
    RAM: 2x Kingston 1024Mb DDR2
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT OCX (512Mb)
    Power Supply: x-Connect (500W)
    HDD: Western Digital SATA (250Gb)

I doubt is has anything to do with your system unless you changed something in the past few days.

If you haven't, well... there is your answer.

Be patient, they will get to it eventually

Reducing sound acceleration from complete to standard seems to have fixed theses issues. Still, I do not understand why I had to do this one week after installing the game. Oh well, I guess all it matters is that everything is working good again.

The game was made by Ubisoft, what do you expect?

I expect my case and the content inside to be the equivalent of cow manure.

I think Vegas 2 was indeed made of cow manure. Hell, it was probably recycled into plastic from it. And the developers? Must've worked in a recycling plant to spew that crap out that we paid $40 ~ $60 U.S.D. for.
