Hi all, I am having a completely different problem with the arena boss battle in Two Thrones. For either platform the prince falls just short of his wall run and can't reach the platform. Both wall runs are from dagger-holding spots and I have tried them over and over and over. I have played every POP game since the first on the Apple II and so I feel reasonably confidant in my ability, but this is driving me mad. I even watched videos on YouTube to verify that I was doing the proper thing and I am, it is just that my prince falls literally an inch short on his wall runs and won't grab the platform edges. Help!

Hmmmm. No one encountered this issue to date. I hope you have not been releasing pressure of the run button a second earlier. Try stretching the wall run as much as possible. I dunno if re-install is a better option but you aren't that far in the game yet so perhaps this is better.
The one you mention has been easy enough. Perhaps you haven't been stretching the wall run all out and releasing a second earlier. In this game quite a few wallruns are difficult to judge due to awkward camera angles.
I know for certain that the wall-run needed to reach the last life upgrade in the middle tower in the end was designed to make you fall short though unless you ran in diagonally from the edge of the spiked door you jumped above on [farthest corner away from the wall you have to run over through retracting blades].

In the "ancient history" of my own game play I encountered an occasional glitch where the game did not allow me to perform some normally expected sequence.
For example while playing Sands of Time, in more than one scene where the Prince swings from one horizontal bar to another I would fall short of a horizontal bar by "just a finger's distance."
When that happened at the time, I just killed the game, and restarted the game from the last save point.
When I played the same sequence a second time with a "fresh load of the game", it would work.
In replaying Sands of Time over the years, I typically have not needed to "quit and load the game anew."
I believe that I had eventually downloaded and installed a later video card driver patch which resolved whatever minor game miscalculations were computed for the game's internal geometry handling.
Have you checked for and downloaded a driver patch for your particular video card?

Could also be video card drivers not being upto mark and a slowdown/lag effecting such smooth jumps. Does the jump get heavy or lagful when you execute? Hope you have latest downloaded drivers.

I am actually playing the remastered HD version on the PS3 for this. I am holding the wall-run button the entire time, even as he falls short. I have also tried reloading from an earlier save with no luck either. Needless to say it is pretty frustrating and when I contacted tech support the said it was a gameplay issue rather than a glitch of some kind.

My own notes on that sequence are:
Run up a short ramp, wall run vertically and dagger a plant dagger base.
Wall jump right to dagger another plant dagger base.
Wall jump right to a railing. Pull yourself up and over the railing.
Run up the ramp.
Wall run up and dagger a plant dagger base.
Wall jump left onto a platform. Navigate and jump onto the jawless brute.
Are you having problems with the last wall run (in RED color)?

There are two sides to the arena, each with their own process. Both are not working for me. For the one to the upper right (as you first get control of the prince after the cutscene) I run up the ramp, wall run up to a dagger, wall run to another dagger, wall run to a railing. Pull up, run up another ramp. Wall run vertically to a dagger plant, then wall run to the left to reach the platform that allows you to attack the big guy.. This last bit is the part that doesn't seem to work. The prince falls one inch short of the platform every time. On the opposite side of the arena the steps are slightly different but the result is exactly the same. When the prince needs to wall run from the dagger plant to the final platform he falls one inch short every time. Aargh!

I suggest that you post this problem in the forum Prince of Persia - Community Technical Help.
Post a subject such as "remastered HD PS3 version of Two Thrones"
Mention that game play has already been discussed in the legacy forum.
Ask if there is some PS3 menu setting that could help you to choose some "different" screen resolution.
