I decided to see what would happen if I upped the damage a bit on the flak gun. Actually, by "a bit" I mean about to the same as the 88mm cannon round Met a C2 cargo and unloaded a 40-round clip along its side. I wish I took a screenie of that. Actually, I did, but forgot to save it. Wasn't using Fraps that time. But oh dear, imagine a double string of 88mm HE impacts, bow to stern.

This, by the way, is payback for you, Liddabit! You got your boat almot sawn in half by an Elco boat. So I sawed the top of the merchant off its bottom

Ha! ....I've done the same thing when the mood for a "Socko Patrol" strikes me.

It really makes the TypeIID's lack of a real deck gun "no big deal".

I too have done the same thing. Just a couple of differnces. First I did the math and tripled the 16" ballistic data on paper, and then imputed these variables into the subs deck gun. The I increased the Rate of Fire to 20 shells a seccond I then played the Bismarck missinon, and every British ship in sight was sunk in 15-20 secconds.
