i'm new to IL-2, but i have some flight sim experience.. i have a couple video's from another game i play (world war 2 online)
i'm in the process of making an IL-2 movie, and would like to post one of my previous movies here to give an example of what i can do, and would like some criticism on what i could improve upon..

here is my problem... no webhosting..
it's 50 meg in wmv format..about 15 mins long, and i made it in 1 week..i think i did a pretty good job seeing as it took such a short time for me to do..

anyone willing to host it (if even for a limited time)would be doing me a great favor..

Check out DreamHost.com. I recently got a site with them primarily to store and share some animation videos from a program that I'm learning.

I signed up with DreamHost this month and I think it's a great deal. Basically, you can get the "Crazy Domain Insane" hosting plan (2400MB disk, 120GB bandwidth/month ($1/GB extra), 3 domains hosted, 15 sub-domains hosted, 600 mailboxes, 75 shell users, One free .com/.net/.org/.info domain, CGI/FrontPage, 2002 Extensions, PHP4, perl, python, C, C++, unlimited MySQL datbases, IMAP, POP3 and Web-based email access, unlimited email aliases, auto-responders, announcement lists, discussions lists, MEDIA STREAMING and more...

If you pay for a year in advance it works out to only $9.95 mo., or 2 years for $7.95 mo., both with no setup fee. When I signed up they still had a special price for their 7 yr. anniversary and it was only $9.24 for a full year. (for a year, not per month!)

Go to www.dreamhost.com and click the "$7.95 Managed Web Hosting" link.

Then, sign-up for the pre-paid 12 month "Crazy Domain Insane" plan (after reviewing the comparison chart, of course). Enter all the stuff and in the PROMO CODE box, enter "777" (for their 7 year anniversary sale). You will see the normal $119.40 price get dropped to ~$9.24. Credit card is not required until AFTER this step, so you can verify that you're getting the correct price.

Anyway, I bought this and it worked like a charm - got the domain registered, all FTP/POP/etc. info has been sent (took less than an hour for everything to get e-mailed/setup). Very sweet deal. Hell, I may even get around to creating a "real" site before the year is up.

Anyhow, I don't know any details on the expiration of this promo-code, so verify that you get the correct price. It was still good when I signed up earlier this month. If you sign up, please use my web ID, gwg, as the referrer. If you re-sign after the first year at the regular price, then I get a referral credit. If you prefer not to, no biggie. But for less than $10 for a year you can hardly go wrong. Even at $9.95 mo it seems pretty reasonable. Several people I've talked to with DreamHost accounts tell me that they're very satisfied with their service.

    Hope this helps
