Thread: Bugs in Defense Ministry? | Forums

  1. #1
Hey there, I recently bought a used Splinter Cell copy from Gamestop for my Xbox. Game runs great so far, except I seem to be having problems with the Defense Ministry level. For example, one time it occured when I had to inflitrate the East Wing (or whichever it was) to go deactivate the courtyard defense system. Ya know, where you gotta hang off the bar and skoot over until you get into the window with the cooks. Well like half way there, the alarms go off like I tripped something. Yet the walkthroughs say you should be able to get across just fine and into the window. I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on, so I did the level all over again instead of starting from my saved checkpoint, and it seemed to work then. I went across just fine.

Now a similar problem, I get the same thing after the part where you use one of the Colonels to use the retinal scanner after you deactivated the courtyard security system. So I use him, knock him out, go through the door where there's double doors with a camera above them. I take out the camera, yet when I get close to the doors (like right up against them) the alarms go off again! Yet this time I tried playing it back from the beginning of the level, and it still kept setting off the alarm when I touched that door to open it.

Is this a known problem? Again, this is a copy I got from Gamestop, used, and its for the Xbox console. Should I take the game back and try another copy or is this a problem with all the Xbox versions? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Oh and another thing, when I get to the double doors it says that someone found a body, and the alarm level was increased. But I put ALL the bodies in dark areas, I'm not sure what to do.

Hey everyone, nevermind about the problem. It isn't a bug, I just had to pile the cooks and the outside guard deep back in the freezer and turn out the lights I think lol. It seems to work fine now, thanks though.
