I have almost the same problem. My will not pass from connecting. And then I have to turn off the mac on the button, because there is no cancel button.

    It is not thought through.

I'm tying to solve this with ubisoft support, but seem its impossible... They said me that the game is NOT SUPPORTED for use on Mac systems... wtf??
then they tell me to do this:

Are you able to access the following URL?

    http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orb...st/satellitelist.txt

the resulting page should look like this:

    216.98.51.199
    216.98.51.201
    216.98.51.202
    216.98.51.203
    216.98.51.204
    216.98.51.205

If not, please let us know immediately.

But I'm unable to connect, don't know why...
And the solution they provided me was:

Your DNS host file has been altered or corrupted. Typically this is caused by a virus on the system or using a pirated version of the game. You will need to contact your ISP or system administrator for assistance with resetting the DNS host file.

I found a solution for my problem!!!

I changed my host file, deleting ubisoft servers from the list, that were blocking my connection:

Steps to edit locked hosts file on Mac OS X Lion:

Go to Spotlight and launch Terminal by typing in the keyword Terminal. You can also find Terminal under Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.

Now type this command in the Terminal screen: sudo nano /etc/hosts

Terminal will prompt for your Mac’s admin password. Enter the password and you’ll be able to edit the hosts file.

Once you’ve done editing the hosts file, hit the CTRL+X keys and then press Y (yes) to confirm and save the changes.
