Thread: WTF kind of answer is this Ubisoft support | Forums

  1. #1
I submitted a ticket to the UBI solution center, for Rocksmith.

Today while using the mini game Scale Runner. I was playing blues scale in "b" my score was 4.2 million, but when the screen changed to show the leader board it gave me 7,333,260 points OMGWTFBBQ!~!~!

    I have an xbox360s.

like the other mini games that ask you to play again, the scale runner game does not. After the game is over and it gives your score there should be a dialog box asking to play that scale again. other wise to play that scale again, you have to press start then spend alot of time navigating back to the scale then select the key to play it in. It would really improve game play and user interaction if you could just play the guitar string to "make some noise" so you can play the scale again. All of the other mini games have the "make some noise" feature so you can start playing again right away.
Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Technical Support regarding Rocksmith.

In order to respond to this email, please update this incident (Please do not create a new incident)

Unfortunately we can not support this game at the moment as the game has not been officially released in Europe.

Once the game is released we are able to help you further.

I also recommend you to look into our website for more information.

If you have any further queries or issues please do not hesitate to contact us again and we will assist you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Maria

    WTF come again?
I do not live in Europe, so I do not see what this has to do with anything.

I got a blow off from tech support, too. I'm actually more irritated by the response than by the bug.

Not sure if I"m stating the obvious. The leaderboard gives the total highest score for all the different scales you've done. So if you got 4 million on minor pentatonic scale and then played the major pentatonic scale and got 3 million, then the leaderboard score would be 7 million.

It would be nice to add some navigation to the guitar playing. On scales I found that if I hit start when it shows me my score on the scale.. Then I can restart the exercise again pretty quickly. You can't be too slow though.

that is all they do. ubi soft tech support email is a joke, and not even a funny one. it does not instill confidence in me for patches and or updates to this game.

I have had a lot better luck with the guy on the Ubisoft Support Facebook page. In the future you might give him a try. I also imagine you were looking at your cumulative top score. It threw me for a loop at first too.

I wish there was a way to rate the support desk. I can't find a place to do that. I have only had 4 tickets with help desk after getting Rocksmith and 3 of the 4 responses where just like this. No real answer. so they are 25% good so far.

I has asked this question about the score to the help desk, but the forum members answered it faster Thanks!!

    Just like this one
when my xbox destroyed my rocksmith disk because the break away cable didnt come apart. I contacted support from the web and submitted a trouble ticket. They declined my request and said we will not replace your disk. The next day I called the help desk. 2 minutes later they said here is your RMA number send it back and $15 and we will replace it no problems.

I take it the call center support desk and the web support desk are not the same people.

from now on I will call the help desk and forget the web version.

Although it's no excuse to blow you off like that, I suspect that their support system incorrectly auto-detected your country when you went to support.ubi.com. There should be an option to pick it when you visit the site. It usually defaults to Canada (French) for me because most web sites thing I'm located in Quebec for some reason.
