    In point of fact I have not heard of this before...but should have.
    My dad and I (him especially) are really into soaring.
    I am going to send this link to him.

    Does your dad fly in a club or does he even have his own plane?

    I have mentioned here in the past that my first flight was in a glider in 1977. I was 3 years old and my dad wanted to take me up.
    He has owned several planes in the past but all powered. The last plane he owned was a Piper Cherokee 235 but sold it a couple years back. The glider belonged to a club here in Pennsylvania.
    My dad and I have done quite a bit or soaring together over the years but not recently.
    He says he is trying to invent a better way to fly. I think he is only half joking as he has two degrees, one in aerospace and the other in electro-mechanical engineering.
