Thread: Question for UBI devs. | Forums

  1. #1
Now I'm trying to be civilized here but in the past Ghost Recon 2 some devs mainly Serellan would be posting about the game to come out and such and such, but when the games (GR2 and SS) came out and there was problems with it (red X) he or any devs were no where to be found to answer our questions. My question to you guys is that if there is a problem with the game, will you bail out on the forums?

Our goal is to have a dev presence on these forums from now on. This is the very reason people like Goliath was encouraged to come here in the first place. But it all depends on many things and the two main factors is availability and forum climate. Meaning that if Goliath, for example, changes projects he will no longer post here. Further more, if the attitude of the forums become too degraded with no constructive dialogue going on, developers will not visit anymore. Its that simple.

As long as people are available and the climate is hospitable, devs will pop in now and again to talk to you guys. But you have to understand and respect the fact that they have other tasks to attend to as well, and at times, they wont be able to answer certain questions for any of a number of reasons.

So in short, no, there are no plans to bail at release or just because you ask tricky questions.

When can we expect info on PC versions of Lockdown. As with GRAW, everything shown so far is console related and is very disheartening to PC gamers who may draw the wrong conclusions. With Deke Waters stating that the PC version will be a port from the PS2 version, that is rather unsettling as with what has been seen is nothing reminiscent of any R6 game produced to this point.

    Mahub,

Let me say that having a presence from a developers end is great! I’ve been coming to this website for some time, and believe me when I say it’s good to get words and feedback from the developer’s themselves. I can see quite an advantage for a gamer’s sake when there are developers here on site taking feedback and comments into consideration. I for one am glad to see Ubi putting forth effort into this site now. I remember when we flocked to moderators for answers (poor BT).

Just keep up the good work!
