I've returned the bahro pillars and put the symbols into the imager in the cleft but it only plays 3 seconds of the original message from Yeesha and then it stops.
What am I doing wrong.

Where did you get the symbols from? Did you reuse them or find new ones?

I found them on the Bahro floor in this game.
I think perhaps I have to do them in the order that they were found.

I dunno if it is in the order you found 'em or not... I tried that at foirst, but it still didn't show her message. So i finally had to resort to just trying the symbols in seemingly-random combinations until i got one that worked.

It's not the order in which you found the symbols, but the order in which they're displayed on the floor of the Bahro cave that matters...
It's not a bug... What you must do is look how the images are on the floor of the Bahro. I.e. - How they are positioned in relation to each other. Draw a circle, if necessary, and then put the symbols exactly how they are on the floor...and then put those into the dealie bob at the end in the cleft in the same positions as you drew them from the floor.
