although Sphinx was faster than me, here are the Patchnotes for patch 1.06:


Version 1.06

Bug Fixes

· Fixed empire connectivity problems
· Fixed some multiplayer connectivity problems
· Fixed a problem with savegames that could not be deleted
· Fixed tower issues on Sandbeken


Known Issue

· The game might freeze for a few seconds when joining an empire or multiplayer session

Hey Earny,

I'm sorry to report that none of the multiplayer or Empire game bugs that I was experiencing have been fixed.

I couldn't find any multiplayer games on the board (that's cool, since I'm not expecting many people online at the moment anyway), so I searched for an Empire game instead.

After about 30 minutes of searching (which still includes 5 to 10 second freezes every 10 seconds or so), I eventually managed to get the counter down to "Searching for 1 player" when it froze and went back to searching for 3.

This is a terrible fix and I am seriously not impressed. How can you take weeks to NOT fix a bug?!

Get it sorted for God's sake!

Hi Muzly,

sorry to here that you can´t find a game. The patch is working well, i got a game after 2 minutes of waiting. Perhaps there are not enogh people, who have installed the patch and want to play. Unfortunately, we do not see how many people are searching for empire.

You can only connect to players who have the same version. Not many have installed 1.06 so far. Some players are even still using 1.04. It might take a few days until everyone has 1.06.

Just played my first game with the new patch. The game seems to be running alot smoother. So far so good.

Btw, how does someone still play with the 1.04 patch? Isn't the patching automatic?

If you click cancel when the ptching begins you can launch the game without updating it.

I see, but that sounds like a dumb thing to do. Don't they want to fix the connectivity issues?

Patch 1.05 sucks and is full of bug and errors so why get it? it make worse worser :S

Btw, why do the game freeze when people get attacked and leave the game???
