I am a legit owner... I have no burning software nothing ever installed on this system... I've tried every darn thing suggested on this website and i still get a No Cd in drive error.

So id like to know whats being done about this problem. Will you release a NO-Dvd Patch? I will not purchase a new dvd rom because this sucka runs perfectly. My Comp far exheeds the expectations... Everything is updated...

Your copy protection is fatully flawed and im losing my patience... what is the name of the copy protection anyways? Safedisc 4??

A person on xfire accidentaly sent me a link that led to a torrent site, and guess what...IT'S ALREADY BEEN HACKED AND OUT FOR D/L ON THIS SITE!! Great job ubi! You stop me, who has been following this game since it was first announced, but the hackers are already playing it before me b/c of your GREAT copy protection software.

This isn't just a UBI problem. EA's PA was just as bad. Try copying the contents of the DVD over to your hard drive and then running the install program

okay, here is the solution for the same problem for Pacific Assault

If a Virtual CD-ROM program such as Daemon Tools, Phantom CD, Alcohol 120% or Nero Clone CD is installed on the system this error message will result. These programs will emulate a CD-ROM drive and will confuse the game because it is looking to this drive instead of the physical CD-ROM drive. To resolve this issue it will be necessary to remove these programs from the computer.

To uninstall on Windows 2000/XP(Classic View):

    Click on Start
    Click on Settings
    Click on Control Panel
Click on Add or Remove Programs
Find the Virtual CD-ROM program in the list and click remove.
    To uninstall on Windows XP:

    Click on Start
    Click on Control Panel
Click on Add or Remove Programs
Find the Virtual CD-ROM program in the list and click remove.
There is a known incompatability between Lite-On Optical Drives and the copy protection software used with Medal of Honor Pacific Assault. If you have a Lite-On drive it will be necessary to update the Firmware for it. To download the latest firmware for Lite-On Optical Drives visit:

Don't know if it will help

This a community run forum, on an UBI board. Anybody answering your questions is using their free time to do so (like me, now). Its called volunteering. The Official UBI tech support can be found in the Link above in the STICKY titled: Need Help? READ FIRST
Also you can try the GearBox boards (GearBox is the ppl who made the game) http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com...splay.php?f=28

Since nothing else worked for you. I suggest trying to find a new motherboard driver and seeing if thatll help out your DVD rom problem.
You may own one of the drives that will not work for this game..

I find it completly stupid that a company would choose to implemet a copy protection that wont work on some dvd drives and by some i mean a pretty big number.

    Whatever... Ill trade it in

So Gearbox... Ya be sure to not purchase from them again... won't be purchasin anything you guys package or whatever you even do.

oh well.. more money for cpu upgrades
