Just picked up the demo the other day, and I applaud the developers for a job well done. But as with anything there can always be improvements. Here is a list of suggestions.

1. Please add the ability to split into two teams. For example alpha and bravo. It seems weird to break into 3:1 when entering rooms from different points of entry.

2. Please change night/thermal vision mapping to the D pad - pressing the buttons takes to much time to access, especially when trying to switch weapons and issue commands with your right hand. The door open feature seems like it could be mapped to the analog stick combined with a context sensitive button press. This would enable the D-Pad up and down to be mapped to the night/thermal in a similar fashion to Splinter Cell.

3. With the two buttons left from suggestion number two - please map them to third/fourth weapons respectively. This would make accessing frag/smoke faster. Also when pressing and holding x to switch weapons, it breaks the illustion of 'the game' as it obscures my vision from the action. For example when a terrorist pops out shooting from behind a corner, I have to press x to select my frag grenade - in the current fashion I lose visual on the shooter.

4. The command system is usable in it's current state - but to keep the player immersed it would be better to put the command menu over to the side - perhaps with a series of icons representing the 4 basic commands for the contextual action. It would have a bit more of a learning curve, but the end result would be a much cleaner, efficient GUI.

5. Finally, and this is a small point. It would make sense to change or add the command 'Go'. I found it confusing to move from saying "go, go, go" to 'move' I found myself saying 'go' alot. It would seem intuitive that both commands should work.

Well, I am not sure if this post will actually make any difference on the final release, but I thought it would be worth the time to type this out if they did.

Cheers,
Mike

i like your point about the 2 teams that how i think it should be aswell and im sure youll be able to costimize your controls how you like in the full version.

one problem i had with the game was how the team executes the flash and clear procedure i really hate it cause the stand right in front of the door and open it the whole way and then toss in the gernade and even if the enemies inside are shooting at them they wont shoot back until the gernade blows and thats just bad cause they take alot of hits waiting for it to blow. they have added the fluid open door thing in this so the team should stand to one side open the door just slightly toss in the flash bang and then close it again till it blows and then rush in.

hmmmmmm my guys will open, then shoot if shot upon before releasing the grenade. In that hallway before the 1st hostage theres a Tango who turns over a table to hide behind. I told my guys to Open, flash & clear. so they opened, took fire, returned fire and killed said Tango(thus clearing that room) then threw the F-B at my feet!!? I panicked and like a muppet stared at it! D'oh!

I agree that they should utilise the fluid movement, its in the game... no-one in their right mind would do it by flinging the door fully open first! xcept maybe a noob!

yeah, it would be nice...but the only problem i can see with splitting to 2 teams with only 4 guys...it takes away from the realism a bit...but of course, so does wondering off by yourself

i have a friend who is has been telling me about MOUT training...and how stuff tranfers to this game properly and so forth...says the teams always stay in 4-6...never any less unless they lose a man...they enter rooms as a group and such...not by oneself and so forth

i think they hould have real dynamic ai.

for instance, when im playing the demo 300 times over i would like some diversity in the ai cuz they r in the sam exact spot everytime and do the same scripted events.which is kinda boring i think. but that and customizable weapons.

well i dont now about u guys but for me the controls are perfect.
going from night to thernal is very simple, 1st to 2nd gun is quick no no problems.
the only problem is what Avs_kickass said about the "open frag and clear" comand that they will just stay there getting hit by the bad guys until the granade goes off.
besaides that the game is perfect!!!
great job ubi
