Kagunda... Oy vey! Strategy ideas? | Forums

So far, I have been kicking arse in this game, with all different campaigns. Last night, I noticed the Kagunda campaign for the first time and have been trying (and trying and trying) to succeed with it.
First I tried with my main man Elias, then, based on something someone else posted, with Marcus. I tell you, I'm at my wits' end. I'm ready to commit honorably sepukku. I hang my head in shame and concede defeat. I will work in a woman's shoe store for five years as my penance.
If anyone has been successful with this campaign, I would be MOST grateful for tips, strategy, even leftover bagels. I don't relish the thought of wedging porcine women's feet into shoes six sizes too small upon the insistence of the customer who still believes herself to be a lithe girl of sixteen, when in fact she is a land whale of forty-eight.
How do you avoid starving villagers? How do earn enough gold in time? How do you capture a hunting ground that provides needed meat and clothes? How do you tell a fat fifty-year-old woman to give it up and just accept she's moved on to NFL division footwear?
