BLACK SCREEN & Computer HANGS UP when running HAWX!!! | Forums

I have an AMD Turion 64 X2 / 2.3 GHz with ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and my computer has surpassed all the requirements for HAWX and I have already installed the 1.02 patch. But everytime i run it, my computer switches to a black screen and hangs-up!

When i ran it once, it displayed a blue screen with errors and said something like a problem with the hardware?

Anybody with a solution to this?

too small of a power supply maybe?

could be 1 of a million things with PCs.

I would go for a clean install of windows and of the most up-to-date drivers out there. Then install Hawx next to see how things go.

Once this works (if it does) start installing other programmes/games you need and keep trying HAwx. If it still happens you know that a conflict of something has been introduced down the line.

Also an outside chance....open up you box and take out all the RAM and graphics card, vacum out he box (carefully) clean the fans etc. This solved the problem of over heating I was getting.

I think he has a laptop, maybe the video card just doesn't meet the requirement.
