Thread: A brief run-down of what I think of the units so far | Forums

    Haven:
    http://might-and-magic.ubi.com...res/haven/index.aspx

    Sentinel: Looks cool.
Crossbowman: Stupid name. Boots are too high. Pants look stupid. Giant hood ornament on helmet looks absolutely ridiculous. Helmet visor looks stupid.
    Griffin: Looks emaciated.
Seraph: Angels are technically supposed to be genderless. Why have the Angel units dual wield swords? It looks redundant and stupid. Why not have the Angel units use one sword like they did in Heroes 5, 4, and 3? Go look up what the Angel unit looked like in Heroes 5, and then compare it to what Angel units will look like in Heroes 6.
    Sister: Looks OK.
Radiant Glory: Stupid name. Doesn't fit in with the theme of Haven. Why a third female unit?
    Sun Rider: looks cool.

    Inferno:
    http://might-and-magic.ubi.com...s/inferno/index.aspx

Hellhound: Looks OK, although I don't like the duckbill look. Aren't they supposed to have more in common with dogs?
Juggernaut: Looks cool. I'm not so sure about the name though. It doesn't seem to fit the unit.
    Pit Fiend: Looks cool.
Tormentor: Looks stupid. At first glance it sort of reminds me of a murloc form World of Warcraft.
Breeder: Uninspired and stupid name. The unit looks stupid.
    Succubus: Looks cool.
Maniac: Uninspired and stupid name. This would be a mediocre looking unit if there weren't gummy worms coming out of his hands.

    Necropolis:
    http://might-and-magic.ubi.com...ecropolis/index.aspx

Skeleton: Looks stupid. Seriously, how did you guys (Black Hole Entertainment) screw this one up? The helmet makes the unit looks stupid.
Ghoul: Looks pretty cool, but there's something about the eyes that I don't like.
Vampire: This doesn't look like a vampire. It looks like something out of World of Warcraft. What's with the over-the-top armor with green lights (same problem with the skeleton)? It looks stupid.
Lich: This unit would look half-decent if it didn't have bright green legs coming out of its back. As it is now, it looks stupid.
Ghost: Close enough I guess, but again, what's with the green lights/jewelry? It looks stupid.
Lamasu: Looks cool. But what is with the green lights/jewelry? Get rid of it.
Fate Spinner: Stupid name. Boring looking.

    Stronghold:
    http://might-and-magic.ubi.com...tronghold/index.aspx

    Goblin: Cool looking.
Harpy: This would be alright looking if it weren't for the stupid helmet/head.
Centaur: OK looking, but I think this unit would have looked better if it were male.
    Dreamwalker: Stupid looking.
Jaguar Warrior: Stupid name. Looks stupid.
    Mauler: Looks cool.
    Cyclops: Looks cool.

To be short. I think 90% of the creatures are great.
We also have to see what are their animations , maybe a crazy /stupid look is the pretext for some funny/crazy animations.

Personally i wouldn't mind playing Haven but i think it lack 1 strong male unit , big size to balance with the amount of feminine presence this time.

To be short as well, I like the majority of the creatures with few exceptions.

Tormentor is objectively bad looking: a mix of Warcraft and Alien feels really out of place in this game. I've read many opinions that share this point of view; something should be done about him.

Glories and Spring Spirits seem redundant and boring.

On the other hand, some creatures are cooler than ever: Griffin, Cyclop, Harpy and Pit Fiend in particular.

The Sanctuary faction introduced some cool creatures as well: Kirin, Kenshi and Kappa are amazing beyond words!

I wasn't sure about the Vampires' look at first, but after seeing their attack animation I was like: "WOW"!

I agree that the Tormentor is probably the worst looking unit so far - it has no identity and looks too much like the maniac.

I would have to agree on the tormentor, it just looks bad imo. Im also not a fan of the radiant glory, it feels way out of place for the haven faction. I would also prefer a more traditional vampire but I still think he looks good. Overall I think the creatures look great with a few exceptions.

Yeah! To be honest, at first glimpse I actually thought the tormentor was an upgrade of the maniac (or vice versa). The juggernaut seems to be about the same size as well, which is a tad uninspiring considering its name!

Yeah inferno looks kinda contraversial(not sure if i typed this word right :P) Becouse on one hand they got most unique new unit in the game(breeder) while on other hand they have 3 very similar units..

IMHO they should have went with a fragile offensive spell caster type of unit or flying demon unit instead of the tormentor. None of those two are taken so I can't figure out why they needed a 3rd melee fighter in their lineup...

yepp Hell charger,Horned Demon,"Super" imp are only few of possible units, but no they use 3 diffrent versions of h3 horned demon... I have been whining about this whenever it at least partly fited the topic. They really could use another offensive caster as Infiltrator Mentioned counting that Pit Fiend by my guess going to be flyng malee...
