Thread: Issues with GWX2.1 & SHC3.1 | Forums

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.
I apologize, didn't have time to do a search to find out.

1st issue is either with GWX2.1 or SHC3.1 don't know which for sure. Started a new career through SHC3.1 and randomized my starting patrol zone. Upon launching Sh3 found out i was assigned BF10. After further review discovered there WAS NO BF10 on the map!! I started pre war, Aug. 1939. This could cause problems if you've added renown in config. files for completing your 24hrs in the zone.

2nd issue is more of realistic gameplay. During my transit to my patrol zone that did not exist, i was on the surface at night and spotted a Large merchant running dark, mind you it's aug. 1939, this is a confusing situation for the U-boat commander, If your following the prize regulations as i am. If you torpedo the ship you've just started WWII a little early LOL. I would think that all ships during this period would be lighted considering everyone is a neutral. any and all responses are welcome.

I know the answer to the second one. Don't torpedo it unless you want to get into some disagreements with the Gestapo

As for Commander... Wow that never happened to me! In fact, maybe it's cause I always "ask" the base commander for a good grid. And "good" varies depending on the time of the war

Definitely good advice Foe, dont' want to tap dance in front of Raeder.

On a more serious note, has anyone encountered the false grid zone assignment?

I've heard of SH3 itself giving grids assignments that are inland, but I've never heard of SH3 Commander doing that.

Yeah I think i remember seeing something about that either here or at SubSim. VG i only bring it up because if you go into the basic config. file and allow the 24 hrs renown award.....well
you get the picture. Anywho i know Mr. Jones wasn't planning anymore versions, but this may be something that needs to be addressed.
