    You can't use shoe laces and such to strangle the enemy. In the picture on the official site, screenshot page 4, picture 5, that's not a shoelace. That's the knife. You can see he's holding the guards hands with one hand, and the knife in the other. I heard people use this picture as proof of being able to strangle, and wanted to clear that up. Sorry if it's old news.

    i never heard of any starngling.and sam only chokes the men or kills them.

    I've heard people say that you could. They mistook the knife for a shoelace or something and assumed you could strangle.

    a shoelace....come on they should have known that is the dumb.ubi wouldnt put strangling in because while your strangling the person that guard will act up and make noise to alert his friends.and then they come into the room and blast your brains all over the wall.

    Sam wouldn't use a shoelace to strangle in the first place. He would use a strong fiber chord or his hands or fore arm. You can make the enemy pass by cutting of their air with your arm, at least last time I checked.

    Maybe he wanted to be more artistic. Like he said in Abattoir when interrogating that guard:
