The focus of LOMAC is what it *is*, right now. It's not going to change. So, why the pointless question?

Adding aircraft is very intensive on ED's part as they have to create new avionics and flight models.

If you want to have just all sorts of planes without care for the actual realism of the flight model of avionics, there's a few console games out there that will do the trick

The realism in what type of units exist is THERE. For the time frame LOMAC is trying to model they're more or less correct, too.

Either way, your poll is pointless because it not going to change

And by the way, the S-37 is more than a stretch. It's an unarmed and unequipped demonstrator. Even the Su-37 is non-existant as far as operational aircraft og (in fact I don't think ther are any actual Su-37 airframes left in operation even as demonstrators)

And yes, modelling things that there's no real data on WOULD take away from the game. Put an EF2000 or F22 in the game, and what will people be flying? Only those exclusively as they'll probably me modelled such that they spank everything else in the game. If that's what you want, like I said: There's console games to satisfy you.

one s-37 (now renamed Su-47) airframe built and still flying.

If ED made flyable next-gen fighters without realistic physics, then whats been the point of making ANY realistic flight models?!

Every aircraft in this sim has been modelled with great detail. While there are still some quirks, all the aircraft have been designed so that you can use real world tactics to exploit the real world strengths and weaknesses of these aircraft in the comfort of your own home.

PS you can crack a beer while flying your LOMAC F-15, try doing that in the real world.....

There was only ever one - it was an Su35 fitted with thrust vectoring.

They converted it back to an Su35, and then crashed it while testing a new FBW system.

Damn, I love the Russian approach

I posed the question to see what most flight sim fans though was important in LOMAC. LOL I love the S-37 or su-47's design and never really sever plan to see it in lomac or any other sim for that matter. I know that is for concept only much like NASA's F-15 with the canards. I was thinking in terms of "if" there were an aircraft add-on, would adding such future aircraft that is not in service deter fans from enjoying the game since the avionics would be based on speculation and not published test data. I think I got the answer !!!
