I think you will take damage when you do hit them but I'm not sure whether you will die instantly.

OK, its not WWI and not that flying aces book with a guy named Jack Fairfax, its modern air combat, first, if you do that you will have no landing gear and forced to crash land in a jet, second, how would you do it anyway, without it being an accedent.

Can I ask, how old are you?
Any possibility to drop the fuel tanks on some ground targets? Or when I'm chased by a heat seaking thermal missle?
