A question about possible turn based option. | Forums

Hey guys, this is just a repost of a question that I put to the devs and I wanted to see what you guys thought. I have left it as is so I appoligise for the newbness

Hey all, this is my first time posting here so I apolligise if my question has been asked allready.

I really like the look of RUSE and will definatly be buying this for the xbox 360. My only concern is Ive never really been any good at RTS games because I tend to have a problem keeping up with all the goings on at any one time so what I would like to know is if there any possibility of a turn by turn option? I really like having some time to consider my options, Im currently playing Panzer Generals: Allied Assault which is another WW2 stratergy hame that is turn based

Anyway, just thought I would post this and hopefully Ill get some kind of responce while Im exploring these forumes abit more.

Firstly I don't even want to think about how hard micro managing will be on the Xbox

Secondly turn based games are a completely different type of strategy, its like playing Chess and come on how many people don't get bored of chess (Please don't spam below saying I don't )

If the game is turn by turn it eliminates most ambushing etc because your opponent will be watching you as not playing, whereas in the game it is fairly hard to keep an eye on everything at once, generally leaving you time to attack before immediately getting counter attacked.

Lastly you will get the hang of it sooner or later

Having tried out the beta on a 360 pad, I can say its no picnic!

Although I'm sure they're was some unlisted control, I found I was only able to queue up one unit at a time, and targeting ruses with out a cursor is difficult. Obviously micromanagement was out of the question.

So, if you can its probably not a good idea to get it on the console.
