Hi all,
I thought I would post this in the hope that it may help some of you with the Server not available problem that we have all been experiencing for some while. This is the entire chat history with tech support. While I cant tell you which of the steps resolved my problem, one of them did. I think the biggest thing that I would like to let you know is that I still received the error message before I managed to log in. I dont know how many of you are like me and log in and then get the error message and then click exit to desktop. Today for the first time after trying all of these suggestions I decided to click log in and my problem has been resolved. So I guess you should try a couple of the alternatives mentioned in this post. (I suggest start with the simplest) and then try again, but when you get the error this time click log in.

Hi Alessandro,
Unfortunately i cannot tell you which of the previous steps solved my problem.
The reason i say this is that the error message that says server is not available still appears on screen. After the first couple attempts to rectify the problem i just clicked exit to desktop else the software would hang. For the first time today i actually clicked the log in option even though the error was still appearing. It worked and i no longer receive the error message.

Hi,
I did reply to mention that the problem was still occuring. I however managed to get past the error and into the game for the first time by clicking on login.

I have created a profile and logged the profile off.
This does not help either.

Please try this:
Go to Settlers 7 Website
Login to 'My Realm'
Create a Profile & Save
Log Out
And try the game again….

Hi,
Please note that I have followed the recommended procedure and I still get the same result.
I uninstalled the entire game and removed all traces i could find. I created a new user with administrative rights. restarted the machine, re-installed re downloaded the 460 megs more or less and still no luck.
I disabled the windows fire wall as well. Is there anything else I could look for? Router perhaps?

Hello there,
Please try this:
1-First uninstall the Game and Game Launcher from Windows Control Panel.
2-Manually delete the Game luncher's folder in Program files
3-Now create a new user account with Administrator Rights, restart your PC
and re-install the game in the new created account.
4-Try the game again
5-Note that you will only need your Ubisoft Username & Password to access
the game

Hi,
I have followed the recommended process by deleting the temporary files. Removing the launcger, re-installing the launcher off the CD and updating the installer off the net.
I do not have zone alarm installed.
I have checked windows firewall and it allows the game, i have also disabled the windows firewall and the result is no different. No anti virus is blocking the software.
I continue to get the message "Server not Available"
Assistance will be appreciated.

Hello Bernard,
The Server's issue has been solved, if you are still unable to connect to our servers there is probably a problem in your installed software.
Please make sure your Firewall/antivirus is not blocking connection.
If you have Zone Alarm, uninstall it and download the latest version or a different one.
Please try this solution:
-First uninstall the Ubisoft Game Launcher from Windows Control Panel.
-Manually delete the Game luncher's folder in Program files( If still present)
- Click on the Start Menu.
- Click RUN, or in Windows Vista hold down the Windows key on the keyboard and press "R".
- In the box you have opened type "%Temp%" and click OK.
- This will open your Temporary folder.
- Click on the Tools menu then choose Folder Options (in Windows Vista click on the Organize menu and choose Folder and Search Options).
- Click on the view tab and tick the box labelled "show hidden files and folders".
- Press Apply then OK.
- Delete all files within the Temporary Folder.
3-Restart your Computer
4-Reinstall the Game launcher from the disc. (Inside the Support folder, find the ubisoft game launcher and click on Setup.exe)
Launch the game

I am getting a message which reads server not available. Everything else seems fine. It appears that it is inline with the general errors that many are experiencing.
