Go to Galata District and to the far right Ferry Ride Icon, it'll say Cappadocia instead of Ferry! That'll take you back to Cappadocia so that you do no have to replay a memory just to go back! If you are wonderin' about how to get back to Cappadocia then here it is!

You do realize some of us are unlucky, have lives to return to, and sometimes have to turn off our consoles. Then we turn them back on, and find ourselves back in Istanbul....

This is a definite issue and unless they release a fix for it, the only solution is to restart the game.
I made it with 88% sync and now I'm stuck playing multiplayer until a patch is released.
If nothing is released by the time I'm off for the holidays, the chances of me finishing this game drop immensely and I won't be buying ubisoft games for a few years.
Reviving this thread, since I haven't received any help from Ubisoft customer support (they just keep closing my case as solved without any help response).
I can't believe that almost everyone else played through memory 7 in one shot.

The Ferry to Cappadocia only seems to appear if you finish all of memory 7 (from what I gather, part of the storyline is that you return back to Constantinople).
For those who take a break in the middle of memory 7, we are stuck when we start again.
I've tried to replay sequence 1, 2, and 3 for memory 7 (those are the only ones I finished before turning the system off for the night) and after each one is completed, I just get dumped back to the menu.
Replaying a mission always dumps you back the menu from when you started it.

Yes, that's exactly my problem.
I turned off the game after finishing memory 7 sequence 3.
When I start again, I'm in Constantinople and there is no Ferry man back to Cappadocia.
Since I can't go back, I don't have any way to continue my game.
Trust me, I've searched the whole coastline of Galata and there are only three Ferry men on my map. All three take me to the Imperial District.
