"Tom Clancy's Ghost Reconâ® 2 shifted its game design from a 100% tactical shooter to a more action-based game in order to broaden the audience. Fans of the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Reconâ® questioned this shift."

Yeah, this pretty much means we are designing a game for 12 to 22 year old Rambos out there.

"PC gameplay will be altered to suit the PC audience. Tactical and strategic elements will be added to create an experience more similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Reconâ® PC title which garnered Game of the Year awards from IGN and PC Gamer."

Again, we don't think the console crowd is mature enough to handle a tactical shooter.

    Thanks guys....link

Man if I was only 16 I would probably love this game, and since I prefer gaming on Live over the PC I guess I'm skipping this one.

It's too bad. It looks like a great game for the most part but to gain a bigger crowd you got rid of the games soul.

Look, I'm not going to flame the game or the developers, I just want to know why they chose to go this route.

I understand that just like any business, you want to make a profit, but isn't there a way to give the fans of the original game a similar experience to that with improved graphics, ect? I understand you have probably done your research and find this route to be the most lucrative but don't you want to keep the fans you gained with Ghost Recon and GR Island Thunder?

There is still enough money out there to justify making a game like that.....just minus all the bells and whistles....Please, help the fans who loved you for the game you created with OGR and GRIT. Can you please either develop something new for us or make something that carried that same feeling we got with the first two games? Not all of us need all the hype and speed that you are now providing with this newest version.

Please Redstorm, you have already admitted that you have heard the old school fans that helped you become what you are today, couldn't you find it in your heart to give something back to us?

Hey Brain, you might want to try finding an old PC to experiment on and hook up to a TV like I am. If I happen to come across one that is.

I hope UBI does put something out there for the consoles.

Sorry J, but I don't feel I should have to change to PC to play the game that I was hoping would and could have been on 360. But obviously the felt they had to "dumb-it down" for the console crowd.

I would also question the commitment to the development of an "Old School" version for the PC ... although it has been crossing my mind (not that that is a long trek) that if support for a keyboard and mouse were implemented in 360 how much of a leap would it be to have PC games supported on 360?

And apologies to Brain for going off topic so quickly ...

Actually, it's still relevant. It can't be that hard or big of a leap to implement those things into the 360 version and let us set up game settings to suite the type of gameplay we want.

I got the chance earlier this year to see a preview of Lockdown, During the preview one of the ubi guys mentioned that the game now had 2 levels of play. One allowed for a more 'pick up and play' style while the other was the traditional and difficult to play needing a more tactical approach that 'R6 gamers were accustomed to'
Now if they were to do the same with GR i wouldnt have any problems with that. Heres hoping

Right, how hard would it be to add it to the 360? Please Redstorm.....
