Well after writing the post http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...5/m/1781090445 my pc died so I got a new one hoping that I could finally get 1946 working but no. I managed to install it but now it won't load up.
If you click the exe file the disk fires up but after 15 secs or so it stops and nothing happens. I've looked through the forums and I can't see anyone else with this problem.
Is it because the game is not compatible with vista 64 or is there a trick to open it?

Just run a.exe from the install 1946 DVD.
I got mine running flawlessly under Vista 64, runs like **** though
