this is pathetic. the game forceably freezes when there's lag, and when i quit to desktop and restart the game. (not ctrl-alt-del by the way), it bans me? this kind of stupidity makes me shun further Ubisoft purchases and prefer having the CD in the drive. if there is no solution to this (other than some idiot telling me to get a better connection), it's time to throw the game away. i have less problems with games forcing me to use Steam.

Add me to the list. The hotel wireless dropped and the game did not exit gracefully (it hung). I used task manager to end the game and upon restart I get the Temporarily Banned message. Wonderful.

Had the same problem after just 30 mins of playing...

You may have attempted to log in after a connection drop, before the server realized the connection had been lost. Your account will be unlocked automatically after a couple of hours, or you can try to reset your password to speed up the process.
Please bear in mind that this is a security measure to protect your Ubisoft account.

..... now I've got to wait a couple of houres just to try again!!! 10 to 30 mins I could handle, but houres What a joke!!!!

After experiencing this issue and reading this thread, it seems that buying this game a month or so ago in a steam sale wasn't such a bargain after all.
I'm currently on a not-very-stable mobile broadband connection while I wait for my broadband line in my new flat to be connected.
Launched the game for the first time, played the first level for around 30 seconds (got as far as learning the camera controls), got disconnected from the internet, quit the game, tried to play again half an hour later, only to be "temporarily banned".
What a joke.

Same BS here as the rest of you! Lost connection to server and thought my internet went out. Close the game and open a web browser and find out my internet was in fact still working. Start the game and get this BS Temp banned due to account sharing. This crap is so stupid! Wish I had never bought this game. I will NEVER buy anything that Ubisoft makes again! I want my money back!

I cant understand why ubi is still using this DRM system and why no one from support can awsner any question.

Its such a shame a great game like this having ridiculous problems from outside the game. I have 5 or more friends that simply doent buy the game because of the reputation of the DRM.

Solve this, please ubi! We pay for the game, we just want to have fun with our friends! Who wants to crack can download the game from any torrent site anyway
