I'm having a similar problem: When I'm walking around the island, the like "freezes" sometimes like I'm walking in slowmotion.
It's like my PC is constantly loading new data...
My computer specs:
intel p4 3.06 ghz
512 ddr-ram
geforce fx 5600 ultra-256 mb
maxtor HD 80 gb
Matsonic MS-9727
Does anyone knows an answer to my problem?
I've tried all the different graphic modes and it still did the same thing...

drivers??
All my drivers are updated...
it says Nvidia based cards must have : ForceWare drivers 53.03
did you try that version of drivers?
The 53.03 driver is already installed, so that's not the problem...
Its the RAM guys. before I upgraded to 1GB I had to run on minimum everything (except resolution) in order to get it to stop swapping constanty. On max it uses over 700MB of RAM when running @ full tilt...I upgraded to 1GB, doubled the FPS, loading times dropped by 90% and the detail is now stunning...
