How do I access mp maps without a server | Forums

I am new to mp and would like to become familiar with the terrain etc of a map before going online. Is there any way to do this without going to a server?

Sure there is. Download and install the map you are interested in, then fire up Far Cry. Click on Multiplayer, and start your own LAN game. You'll get a selection screen where one of the choices is the type of map and the name of the map. Select your choice and go, you can join the game with no problems.

Note you'll probably not want or need to enable Punkbuster for your LAN games.
