I recently installed new Video drivers and now i cant play online RVS. I reinstalled and updated..nothing. I tried single player and it works fine. These new Omega drivers may have done it but i also unistalled Panda Titanium and it screwed up my monitor. Any seggestions on how to fix this little horrid of a predicament.

Flicker here FLicker there...then It goes to the Waiting for server to connect, or the likes, and proceeds to go back to the mp screen and gives a little dialouge box of death: cannot connect to server.

If you recently installed XP SP2 you may also need to turn off the XP firewall or at the very least set it up correctly.

It could also be the fact that there is problem with what resolution and refresh rate you are running and if it can't set correct resolution fast enough it will disconnect.

Try forcing the resolution and refresh rate by following the instructions in ths thread: Tweaking Raven Shield and look about the part about <span class="ev_code_BLUE">Changing Refresh Rate & V-Sync settings (If you FPS is capped at 60) </span>

If you already have done this, go into graphics options in RvS and make sure it is correctly configured after installing new drivers. Installing new drivers can change what your gfx card is capable of especially if it reverts to the plug&play monitor drivers, look below for more info.

Take a look at your monitor drivers, sometimes when installing new drivers it will use plug&play monitor drivers regardless if you have installed other monitor drivers before.

First of all I had sp2 for XPMC, but uninstalled it becuase it is the worst leach i have ever brought upon my PC...any objections?

More to the point, I kept trying and trying and it finally WORKED but now I have these wierd like see through moments in the games and like on one of levels projects images everywhere in hallways and such that are not supposed to be there. At some moments I can see through walls and such to. Im not hacking remeber but, i utterly to the point dont like this. Flowers here flowers there, a slate of flowers but a walkthrough wall...humm

or you can set your pc back to last known good configuration, or a restore point where you know it worked well.

I have tried that and the restore FAILED...
Got the 1.6 patch and it still does the wierd wall in wierd spot/ flowers. Well thanku for ur time freakishly, gunny, and Lawless. Ill just stick with it. Its not to bad now... as if it be healing itself. {Humm...that whould be cool}
