I'm doing this for the good of ubisoft.... Your flaw-filled PC ported cash cow needs to be fixed. It is indeed unfinished. And while your tech support is filling the forums to help, how long before they just disappear, and how many few things will really be fixed in a patch.
I put $50 of my hard earned money on this, because of the quality of of previous splinter cell games, and the ratings said it was an excellent game.
Im shure its an excellent game. From what I can play, it is enjoyable. But thats where the fun and enjoyment stops. Its pratically unplayable... riddle with bugs and gltiches down to a "T", rushed to pick up extra cash while reviews from the console version were still fresh and high, and to assume most poeple are going to be buying it and it will go unused until it is opened on Dec 25, 2006, and thus giving you a few good weeks to put out some patches for a unfinished product.
Anyone who bought it now, well, you know as well as we do we're just beta testers on a product that in a few weeks your tech support and development could really careless about.
Thats why Im warning all of you out there whom are considering buying this product for the PC (or even the xbox360 version of the game), do not. Refuse. Tell them you wont buy it until they fix it.
Spend five minutes here on this forum or in the community help section, or even the xbox 360 forum for Duble Agent and you'll see why.
Dont Buy it. Demand they finish it. Demand they give PC users both the Montreal (better) port of the game, too, even if its optional.
If the game was patched the way iot should be out of the box, it could easily get a 9.5/10 score for the PC
but the problems it has? its not even worth trying to rate, as Im not going to rate a rushed unfinished product.
Ubi, your shanghai development group is junk. Close them down, release the Montreal version for the PC in a update patch.... I dont care how big it is, just do it. Fix the bugs, and all is forgiven, and I think the entire community here would just shrug it off as a simple mistake...
You've been warned PC players, your wasting $50 if you do buy it right now.
