    OK now i am confused.

    I completely uninstalled SH3 from my machine, reinstalled clean, and when I go to patch from 1.0 to 1.3 I get a message telling me "Cannot Patch, file en_help: version unknown.

    now I read in another thread that if you have modded recently you'll get this message...but even after a clean wipe and re-install?

    Help is appreciated!

    After you uninstalled SH3, did you first delete any residual folders and files before reinstalling?

    SH3 installs files in 2 places:

    1. C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\ or similar - all installation files are in here.

    2. \My Documents\SH3\ - saved missions, campaigns and changed configs kept here.

    No. I am going to try again, because I am thinking perhaps I might have deleted the my docs files out of sequence.

    But to answer your question, no I was unsuccessful with any patch up from 1.0
