Hi, sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but settlers 7 crashes on my computer about every 30mins, more if I try to save (crashes about 50% on trying to save the game).

I got this from a crashfile, not sure what it means:

    --
    Failed to allocate 2097152 bytes!

Memory load 64%, available virtual 57 MB, total virtual 2047 MB, available physical 1083 MB, total physical 3069 MB, available page file 3845 MB, total page file 4095 MB.

    Program threw an exception:
Exception in file FN at line 68:
    Out of memory!

    [ 2010/04/02 22:06:11 ] ERROR: Exception 0xc0000005 at 0x6b3fe9b6!

    AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ 2.6ghz
    3gig ram
Nvidia 9600gt ( forceware 197.something drivers, newest ones afaik)

Just posting some info here in the hopes its something obviously wrong and not settlers hates my computer (no problems with any other recent games).

I have a similar error, no solution until now, I just cannot play the game and technical support was really useless (no answer from them)

    You guys on windows vista?

Edit: Just in case you guys are on vista here are the the soulutions that worked for me.

If you can't get past the first loading screen, its your firewall, simple as that, nothing to do with the game or anything, just the firewall.

If you can play but it crashes alot, its settlers 7 being really annoying. For some reason it sucks on a computer (vista) that isn't fully updated. Even though games work, alot better graphics, alot higher specs on a non update computer, settlers just seem to suck :P Spend the next couple of hours like i did, checking for windows updates and installing them. Since i've installed them all (important ones only, not done any optional) its worked fine and never crashed.

    Hope that helps
A boy kills a butterfly, and his dad says "no butter for you boy"
Next day he kills a honey bee, and his dad says "no honey for you boy"
On the third day his mother kills a ****roach, so the boy turns to his father and says "no fun for you dad." (
