According to a German gamemagazine the game shall run on a computer with 1 GHz and a GeForce 2.

The min specs for The Settlers: Heritage of Kings are:



Windows 98 (XP Recommended)

1 Ghz Processor (1.5 Ghz Recommended)

256Mb RAM (512Mb Recommended)

32Mb GeForce 2 (no MX) Video Card (GeForce 4 128Mb Recommended)

stupid way of making system requirements these days.

for example:

a Intel Celeron (Northwood) 2.7 Ghz performce as Intel Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz in a game since its low cache.

And amd makes more calculations on every clockcycle than Intel cpu because of shorter pipelines.

So a amd on 1.4 Ghz is performing like an intel 1.6 Ghz give or take.

But then i dont think its that important since most (not all) got over 1.5 Ghz today.
