For my own fun, I've been reworking some of the campaign traffic, mostly north side of Kiska and Dutch Harbor, based on the theory that the IJN took Dutch Harbor for about 5 months and tried to invade Canada. Just some flavor so something else is going on up north. Just one battle, a few invasion forces. Mostly added many large fishing fleets that needed protecting
from the IJN. Placed a few ports and airfields in Canada and Alaska to dock.

Here's some shots of the invasion of Dutch, just fun, nothing historic.

I know, playing around, will get rid of it, don't like the way it renders anyway, unless you're far away.

Had to have a Titanic of the Pacific..lol

Lot's of Dolphins, I like the way they sound on sonar. Some in TMO,but only saw them once long ago

Aircraft Salvage Vessel, added a lot of those since they rarely show.

All merchants and warships set to elite, so they shot down 90% of Allied planes.

The real "on "a" wing and a prayer...

That last one is a hell of a bang.
Some very nice shots here. I have never seen dolphins in the game. Is that just in TMO?

No wonder you win so many SS Comps, you can just create your own.

The only thing I created was a litle bit of traffic for small invasion forces and one battle. Anyone can do this simple stuff.
I just started learning it this week, if I can anyone can.

The dolphins, whales, hula girls, icebergs, lightening, ect., are all in the game files.
I even once found the beanstalk to heaven. Over time mods took a lot of this stuff out or since it has no bearing on gameplay, no one wanted to take the time to script it back in.

Yea, big bang, that happens when the internal cargo is fuel and external is ammo.

I am reworking the whole upper north traffic for myself, mainly cause nothing is up there for me to mess up. Just gonna add a few fishing ports and a lot of fishing traffic, some berg fields, put some whales on ships, ect. I can create some special missions, like stopping the JP's from destroying a fishing fleet, run it through berg fields, ect.

Had to have the ball bearing disc replaced in my back again after yet another failure, so laid up in bed bored out of my wits...again.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Back problems are so downer, what can you do but lay around until the danm thing heals. I hope its not long for you.
Seems there are a whole lot of things I don't know about this game. Maybe I should start fooling with it and see what I can come up with. I assume you are talkng about the mission editor are you not?

    Yep, the ME,

Make single missions. Until you really know what you're doing don't start messing with the campaign files. Least keep back ups if you do.
Take RSRD, I can't imagine the hours he has in that. Just that little I did took about 12 hours, Lurker did that over 1500 times and I just put things where I wanted, Lurker had to build correct groups, courses, time, battles, ect....massive undertaking. It's not that hard, but dang time consuming.

I am adding very slowly. For instance I think it's silly we can harbor rape Truk, it needs minefields and subnets. Well, mine fields not a big issue, but sub nets would be. If I placed them anywhere he had traffic, you see the picture, what if I blocked an entrance and he spawned a TF that had to come through there, be a problem. I have put minefields near Truk.

As for things like Dolphins, ect...You can find some in TMO, least the old version. Lightening never worked right, but you can still find it in the game at most ports in the right conditions.

    I think TMO/RSRD has a few Icebergs.
Guess the problem is they should really be only at the poles and no action there, so why add a lot of them. I think the Uboats has lots of them. Just bump one and it'll kill your ship.

I made two large berg field and ran the large JP invasion force through it. I had several armed US and Canadian trawlers in it and a few small DE's and one Canadian Cruiser. Having them all on elite they move through it well, but it really changed the battle up. They can't see you behind one, so you can hide. Once the JP got through there I had a decent TF waiting, once they sunk it it triggered the next event which was a base change.

All of the ships in my pictures are in TMO/RSRD, a few you seldom see.

However, you can make some killer single missions. Since Tambor is back maybe he'll make more....

    Nice

Is there no end to your talents, MWolfe?

I guess being laid up leaves you with nothing but time on your hands. It washes off very quickly for me.

I can relate to the back problems with my two herniated discs. I've been sidelined here for over a week. With my rig baked by the lightning strike, I'm literally going nuts! You have my utmost empathy. Get well soon.

I won't let the quacks cut on me.

That's right, seems I remember your back, guess you're deal with a double portion. Last year I had major surgery, rods, you name it, and was on my back for several weeks. Least it's not that bad, just one more week. I can get up to do those things, but boring. I'm trying to rescript the entire war based on JPs took Pearl.
Silly, but someone may enjoy different traffic, missions, ect.

I'll spell it wrong, but it's obvious missing it's skin or wasn't finished..

Chirdora...a phonics spelling, I'll look it up
if you need., seems like a torpedo boat. You can see the mech outlay on the sides, good way to figure out the honey spots on big ships.
