The USS Ronald Regan will either be targeted or incapacitated somehow (explosion or EMP blast)

Those who played HAWX will know about Strike Package Whiskey Zulu. Well, there is a reference in the trailer to Strike Package Zulu. Crossover perhaps? Or just a coincidence? (In HAWX, you play a few missions where you provide aerial support for the GHOSTS of that time..... )

There are hints to two names (possible protagonist and antagonists in the game perhaps?) Malik Junaid Ahmad and Maj. Wilson Elliott.

Who wrote this?

The head-mounted projector has nothing to do with the camouflage. They're completely separate projects. The projector is for an augmented reality system, and allows the person WEARING IT to see images projected on top of their field of view. It's similar to the concept of the cross-com in GRAW.

The camouflage system shown there is a completely separate system, and requires a projector located "at the location of the viewpoint". So the person you're trying to hide from would have to be wearing a projector.

Projector-based systems are very interesting, but they're completely unsuitable for stealth applications. Even if you can get around having to have an external projector, the entire concept is based on projecting images onto the object you're trying to hide. The object would have to be light-colored or reflective for the image to appear. And projectors use light.

So in effect, you're wearing a white suit or a mirror and shining a spotlight on it. I think I'd probably stick with regular camo and take my chances.

Thanks for your brilliant insight. If they're going to continue promoting the game as "authentic" and "near-future reality" then I don't think it's too much to ask that they get the basic information right when we're directed to a link for more information.

Expecting them to be authentic is a foolish thing. Even if they say they are, always expect the opposite. Ever since Clancy sold his name to Ubisoft, all boundaries of realism and authenticity have been blurred.

Have you ever heard the story about the scorpion that convinced the fox to give him a ride across the river?

Scorpion couldnt cross without help from the Fox. The Fox didn't trust the Scorpion, he knew he would sting him half way across and they would both drown. But the Scorpion convinced that Fox that he wouldn't sting him. So the Fox agreed to go along, and half way across the river the Scorpion stung the Fox. As the venom filled the veins of the Fox, the Fox looked at the Scorpion and asked why did he sting him. The Scorpion said "I didn't want to, but it's in my nature".

Think of the Scorpion as Ubisoft. They can claim all they want that they are going to be authentic, or realistic, but we should know better than to believe them.

No it's not too much to ask that they get their information right, but don't get your hopes up, it is in their nature to get things wrong.
