Thread: RUSE 2 ideas | Forums

  1. #1
So I love RUSE and hope we will be seeing a sequel.

    1. Stronger Infantry- Infantry is the base of every army. They should be better than just for ambushes. Give them more range and the ability to dig in.

    2. New Infantry classes- Mortar teams and machine gunners. Add some veriety to infantry.

    3. Sea Battles- Add a new front with sea battles. Have maps with a little water or a full blown island hopping map. Transport units over the water and flank enemies.

    4. Transportation- Capture railroads which can move troops quickly or destroy them to deny them to your enemy. Get rid of bridges to lock off routes.

    5. New Factions- Japan would be a great faction to accel in sea combat. Seeing lesser familiar factions like China could be a great addition.

These are just a few ideas i came up with to improve the game. Hope you like em. Lets see some ideas you guys can come up with.

    You're stupid.

THERE IS UNITS/BUILDINGS WHICH ALREADY WORK JUST AS MORTAR AND MACHINEGUNNERS AND DIGGED IN INFANTRY, THERES NO NEED TO ADD MORE OF THEM

INFANTRY IS ALREADY CHEAP AND REALISTIC ASWELL

    goodbye

all great ideas that have been discussed before.

However at the rate this game is selling we'll be lucky to see an expansion let alone an sequel

Really you're gonna respond in all caps like a ******.

I said this about the infantry because, i want to see infantry actually used in combat rather than only for ambushes which about all they are good for. They are used as a trick unit rather than being a base for your army. one tank destroying 10 infantry squads all alone as it slowly backs up isn't very realistic

RUSE sold pretty well. Not like a blockbuster like starcraft or something but still pretty well. They have made sequals for games that were much worse.

really? RUSE sold very well? http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
considering every RUSE game that installs, auto installs steam, this is fairly accurate. today's peak is 2,600ish with an average of 1000 players, with the region block on right now, there was about 400 players in the U.S area, why do you think there are so little players online?. The region unlock is only a temporary bandage on the problem "the game didn't sell that well so lets unlock all players from around the world to play with each other".

-Games that are doing better than RUSE, Football manager 2009, day of defeat which is a MOD how sad is that. do you want me to start throwing out stats on how much an average game cost to make? Sure there are games out there that sold much worst and have had sequels, the reason for this is that they are still able to turn a profit. small indie games, or games that do not cost a lot to make. it's usually all in perspective. ask yourself does it make sense to make a game if you lost a couple millions on the last game?

I'm not hating on the game, Personally I love the game, I think it's amazing, but facts are facts. What they need to do is get this patch out. than have a steam sale to attract new players in.
