I just installed Prince of Persia Warrior Within on my pc and was about to play. But when I try to create new profile I get thrown back to the start page and all I can choose is "quit" or "create". I am running the game on Windows 7 64 bit with more then enough ram and CPU is intel I7 930. I do own game on steam as well as DVD. I tried installing it both ways with same results. Could this problem depend on DirectX version or is it maybe wide screen resolution problem? I am currently running desktop on 1680x1050 resolution. Can I start the game in some other resolution? I do see 2 black stripes on the left and right side and mouse dissapears on the right and down sides of the screen. How to make the game create a new profile? Please help me.

The installation should have created a folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\POPWWPROFILES

I received error messages when Windows somehow changed the folder to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\POPWWP~1

Solution (?): I manually changed the misnamed folder POPWWP~1 to POPWWPROFILES

Disclaimer: My problem happened many years ago.
I have successfully installed many POP games before and since.
My problem may have occurred when I reinstalled my POP WW software after rebuilding Microsoft Windows.
There was a previous good installation of Warrior Within on my computer.
Maybe I had many installation .tmp files and folders in my "Temporary Files" folder?

You might want to uninstall, use some sort of Windows "cleaner" software such as cCleaner, etc.

pleas help me, i have an original prince of persia warrior within disc.

my pc is a windows 7,

every ting worked great, but wen i got to the part where u find a mask....during the clip, an error came up and said..the game ended unexpectedly not cool, HELP
