I dont think that this could be a great idea... mages can do a lot of accidentally damage to their teammates with their spells... However they can enable an option that allow the hosts of the games to enable/disable Friendly Fire but i dont like the idea at all...

I think this would be a good thing. It would provide new tactics for the melee classes to utilize against mages. For example, to avoid attacks from an enemy mage a warrior could move within close range of another enemy. This would make the mage hesitant in firing his spells at the warrior because he might injure his ally by mistake. In my opinion the new strategies friendly fire creates would help balance the melee and magic classes.
I think friendly fire would be better... less cramped batles then, mages are not so easily overpowered, archers are not so easily overpowered and you get to find out what folkes are good to play together with and who are idiots![]()

Friendly fire is in the game. You have to watch out when shooting arrows or throwing fireballs into a crowd, especially if friendlies are around. It's much better that way, less random spamming and more precision/skill involved. Crusade mode is like Battlefield in that the first team to lose all their tickets loses the match, so you are basically sharing lives.
You can probably toggle it off for casual servers, just like in every other game. The guys on the MP team did Battlefield and Medal of Honor, remember?

I found out that friendly fire is going to be included in Dark Messiah multiplayer. Go to this website, http://gameswelt.de/artikel/index.php?id=1717, and watch the mage video. Within the first minute the speaker mentions friendly fire, and he says that mages typically end up with the most team kills.
In the video he mentions it as if there won't be an option to turn it off, which I hope there is. Friendly fire absolutely needs to be switchable for pubs.
