Thread: Pandora Tomorrow Windows 7 Slow-mo | Forums

  1. #1
I installed Pandora Tomorrow on my WIndows 7 64-bit, Intel Core2 Duo 2.20 GHz processors, 4 gig of RAM, GeForce G105 machine and it runs (no torchlight from teh video card but I can't live with that). The problem, it runs really slowly. It's not laggy-jerky, just really slow. It's like the entire game is in slow motion. Has this been reported before and is there a fix for it? Additionally, I've lost transparency on some of the glass windows in the game. Fix for that? I saw a multiplayer patch available. Does this fix any of those problems?

    Thanks for help,

    ~Josh

Yup happens a lot. Start the game, ctrl alt delete then go to processes and right-click the splinter cell.exe press set affinity and last but not least uncheck one of the CPU boxes. (only 1)

I did what you said and it didn't have an effect. I did, however, notice that after I did what you said in the Task Manager, then switched back to the game to give it a try, then took another look at the Task Manager again, the "pandora" process disappears and a "Shadowstrike_static_retail" process appears and when I look at it under "set Afinity" it is only using one process.

Also, I noticed when I run the game on my core duo desktop, it has both CPUs checked and seems to operate OK.

Is there perhaps a different fix I could attempt?

Strange...That Helped a lot of people, plan B!
Go to default.ini and find the line UseAlternateTimer=False and change the False to True. If that doesn't work then your doomed...

I looked in the Default.ini and that line doesn't appear. Neither does AlternateTimer=False as I've seen it listed in other posts. So what does that mean if that line isn't even there, ha ha?

I have the EURO version of the game.
