Go into the full mission builder. Look in the IL2 sturmovik folders.

IL2 Sturmovik/missions/DE or choose country mission is in. DE = German RU = Russian
Find the specific mission that you want to change the aircraft and load it into the FMB.

After you load the mission, look for the colored waypoints on the mission map. If german (blue) or russian (red} then find a waypoint dot that you know is for the plane you want to change.

Click on the top horz menu VIEW, then click object. Then click on any waypoint on the travel path of the plane you want to change. The waypoints should start blinking. You'll know. The aircraft you've chosen (clicked on) should be listed in this box. Scroll the box beside aircraft name and then select an aircraft of choice. It will change instantly, and you can click the upper right x and save the mission.

thanks much - got one done - couple of ?? - can i zoom the map to make it easier to find planes - can i do same with a coop mission -- i changed P63 to P51, i was flying #5, it changed #5 & #6 ,but first 4 planes remained P63 did i get lucky when i made the change and just hit the right dot

Yes, hold the shift button, left click, hold & drag a square over the area you want to zoom...you can also drag the slider on the left side of the FMB page down to zoom

Yes, you got lucky...if your rank was higher you would be in the 1st flight. There can only be 4 aircraft in each flight. Try selecting he flight right next to if you want to change it too.

I can't answer the one about coops...I only do offline missions.
