Having a free sunday for once, nothing to do, which is kind of nice.Messing around with the ME, created some battles.

Created a battle involving US PT boats and DD's going after IJN convoys in later summer/fall 43 carrying supplies to the New Georgia group.These battles took place at night and were pretty brutal.

I put most units skills on competent and made it rather dark so I could operate on the surface.I struck first and knocked out a small freighter with torpedos in a surface attack from 4500 yards, the PT BOATS came racing in at 44 knots...DD's soon followed.Unfortunately PT boats do not fire torpedos from what i can see, although they do open up with their guns.

Casualties were high on both sides, how these battles usually turned out, although we stopped the supplies.

Fun stuff, thinking once I refine this mission more, I will post it somewhere for others to download.

Yea, love to try it. Would be nice to see more of this is mods. Like the battle of Leyte, the PT boats set up a screen in the straits. Would love to see that.

Be nice to see more surface units involved in battles in career mode, something no one has really done.....so waiting for you to do it.

Will do, still refining it though.Timing is a big deal, have to match up waypoints etc, its a lot of testing.

I recreated the Battle of Savo Island.Was pretty fun.I didnt even participate, just say off about 5000 yards in dark and watched the IJN and USN/Aussie force slug it out.Ended pretty much the real battle did.

USS Chicago burning dead in water, HMAS Canberra exploded and sank.HMAS Australia on fire, both USS DD's were waxed.Japanese cruisers had mino damage.

Then they ran into the second allied force and wiped it out.As the IJN were heading home I did a surface run with stern tubes from 7000 yards, crippled a heavy cruiser, finished it off after sunrise.

The heavies were in close and really duking it was, was pretty cool to watch.

Still refining some things though, will post it up soon as a single mission or try to.

so many people are wrapped up in modding the mission creation has kinda went un noticed and forgotten
