Yes I am really psyched because I just got the &^& whooping of a lifetime by IM AlbertoGL. He's an International master and pretty soon me and him are going to have a 6-match standard and I hope all of you are there to view it. It should be quite interesting. In the game that he beat me (you can look it up in the database) he crushed me and his endgame technique was flawless. But I did have the black pieces playing the Two Knights Defense and he did have a novelty 5. Nbd2 or just I've never played against that. Well come out and see the strongest matchup on this server unless some other GM or IM or heck even Kasparov shows up!
IM AlbertoGL 2400+ ELO vs. GM Spassky 2200+ ELO 1-0 so far....

Regarding 5.Nbd2, it's not exactly a novelty, but it doesn't get played by the top GMs either.
The CM9000 database has 16 games in which that move was played, and the average ELO for White is about 2430. Most notably, Bronstein and Nunn have used it, but only achieved a draw.
But the best part is the score of these 16 games -- +9 =7 -0! White never lost! You might want to take a closer look....

b5 9.Re1 Na5 10.Bc2 c5 11.Nf1 Nc6 12.Ng3 Bg4 13.Bg5 Nh5 14.Bc1 Nxg3
15.fxg3 d5 16.exd5 Qxd5 17.Bb3 Qd6 18.Qe2 Bh5 {Since White's intentions
is to unbreak the pin on the Queen with Qe3 I decide to activate my
bishop on a more active diagnoal. This also by bringing it to g6
challeneges the knight going to e4 sometime via d2.} 19.Qe3 Bf6 20.Nd2 {
Heading for the outpost on e4} 20...Bg6 21.Ne4 Bxe4 {Forced everything
else loses a pawn. When I brought the bishop to g6 I didn't realize I
was giving up my good bishop until I realized that the move was forced
since it loses a pawn.} 22.Qxe4 Rad8 {This move tries to put pressure on
the backward d3 pawn.} 23.a4 {An attack in the center is best met with
an attack on the flank.} 23...b4 {I didn't want to open up the position
with the two bishops and also I didn't want him to trade since he has
less queenside space.} 24.Be3 Be7 25.Bf2 bxc3 26.bxc3 Bg5 {?! Here I
was in time pressure and I quit the plan that included a dubious pawn
sacrifice of c4 to take advantage of the weak dark square diagnoal but I
discovered it wasn't weak at all with the sneaky dark square bishop on
f2! Plus I couldn't force him double isolated pawns and put pressure on
them with my rooks on the open files because he could simply take with
his bishop and then stupidly I thought I saw a bishop fork but then I
realized he can defend the c3 pawn with his rook with Rec1.} 27.Rad1 Rb8
{Since the Kingside is not the promise land I plan to double the rooks
on the b-file and then put pressure on c3 to make it move so my knight
can come crashing in d4 and he would either trade his advantage of the
bishop pair or let my have a dominating knight in the middle of the
board.} 28.Bc4 Rb6 {The plan as I just mentioned of doubling the rooks.}
29.Qd5 {! I missed this move obviously if I ignore it I hang the queen
and plus even if it were defended Rb8 followed by Qxf7+ is pretty bad
for black.} 29...Be7 30.Rb1 Rxb1 {forced trading queens like you said would be ******ed it loses a pawn to Qxd5 31.Bxd5 Rfb8 32.Rxb6 Rxb6
33.Bxc6 Rxc6 34.Rxe5} 31.Rxb1 Qxd5 32.Bxd5 Rb8
33.Re1! IM Alberto sees that the b-file is really an illusion and that black can't put pressure on c3 because the bishop guards the b3 sqaure that attacks c3 so the rook has better things to do. Plus my knight is hanging and requires passive defense. Rc8 34.Be3 This move gets out of the way so the king can get into the game this just proves Crimson...sorry KnightKicks that your an all tactics guy and you don't even know that the king needs to get into the game via f2 not over e2 blockading his own rook!
Kf8 35.Kf2 Na5 36.Rb1 c4 37.dxc4
Ba3 38.Ba7 Nxc4 39.Bb7 Rd8 40.Bxa6 Nb2 41.Ra1 Be7 42.Bb6 Rd6 43.a5 Nd1 44.Ke1 Nxc3 45.Bb7 Nb5 46.Rb1 Nc3 47.a6 Nxb1?? Extreme time pressure I didn't even pay attention that the passed a pawn was going to queen. 48.a7
So CrimsonKicks (you guys have the same IP addresses with my device I told you in an earlier thread that allows me to see your IP address in teh bottom right hand corner similar to admin functions.) You prove once again your an all tactics guy. And you absolutely know nothing about strategy or whta the heck to do on the board and certainly don't know the difference between real and illusional imbalances. Having a rook on the b- file is no use unless it coordinates with your army and attacks something of worth. Obviously the rook would have been in no mans land and no mans land is not such a good place. You already read all the other annotations above so why don't you just stop while your ahead. If annotate some of your games you will see that in some game you hang a piece for heavens sake! Then accuse everyone you lose too that they have Kasparov as an Uncle or something crazy like that. I tried to be nice to you but your just a sorry adult that wishes his life could start all over again. Good thing school starts really soon. At least I'll have better things to do besides argue with you on the internet and chat on 12 different forums.
PS Next time keep your posts all on one thread so I will have to do the same. Also you need to read more on strategy and less on tactics like I said you are an "All Tactics Guy". You'd be around 1800 FIDE that's what a USCF 2001 is. There is a 200 point difference. Also your annotations are weak, short, and make no sense. You don't even look at the position probably. I could just imagine you giving lessons. Also you accused of white of playing computer moves and having no plan like Be3 you said what's the plan and it was obvious that he wanted to bring the king into the game via f2 and you accused Alberto of playing computer moves all game and plus he's a real IM and you can even check him out on playchess.com he has a queen ranking (which means he's a real IM) and I have a rook ranking. But I know you wouldn't last two days there since they don't like people who don't know anything about chess and accuse the top players of having Kramnik near by. Wait didn't you say you do? And what chess school is that anyway Kramnik dropping in on the weekends?! That Armenian chess coach I think I knwo who he is is he the one that coached Akopian? It is pretty pathetic to see you stoop down to this level to have him annotate a near FM titled player. Also if he does annotate it why not show him all the other threads you've been accusing and pointing and whatever instead of printing the game out. I've tried to be nice to you as I said before but it seems like your just jealous of how you never learned simple strategy when you were young.
