Well, time for some more Q&A:
Q: After patching to 1.3, I receive an error message when starting the game that says "please insert the correct cd-rom"
A: If you have Alcohol, Nero, or Daemon tools install, please make sure that you have at those programs disabled. If anyone knows how to simply disable the virtual cd-rom function of nero, without having to uninstall it, please reply with that information here.
If you had a no-cd crack installed, and you patched to version 1.3, you will need to do a clean install of the game. To do this, uninstall the game and then go back and manually delete the leftover Ravenshield folder (the default location for this folder is c:\program files\red storm entertainment\raven shield).
Q: After installing the 1.3 patch, I keep getting stuck at the countdown screen when joining a MP game.
A: We are aware of this issue, I should have more information shortly.
If anyone has any other problems with the 1.3, don't hesistate to reply to this thread. However, I am going to heavily moderate this thread, so don't repeat something that's already been said

Hello JJ, thanks for the post.
1. One problem I am having now that I never had before is this.
I test maps on my computer a lot cause I am into that. I host the games locally (Not dedicated), and ever since version 1.3, the server will mess up when trying to change settings. This happens no matter if its an official map or user made.
When editing the settings, I press the check mark and it says its updating the server and I can't press anything, however, nothing happens and I have to use the EXIT command in the console.
2. The gun lag is rediculous. I know its the way the game was designed. By this is mean the gun not firing until the shot is registered. This is rediculous because having fun on a server you get 100ping to (Which is still damn good) makes the game unenjoyable with this huge amount of lag. To play normally, I can only play on a server I get about 30ping to which is utterly rediculous.
3. I was playing in a 1.3 server and saw the ladder bug STILL happen to two people. So it wasn't fixed I guess.
4. A few level design bugs still exist. People are still accessing parts that allow them to walk UNDER maps and kill people. This is also rediculous.
5. People are complaining about servers making them redownload OFFICIAL maps.
Thats about it for what I've seen.

JJ, myself as well as other are having FPS issues
before patch 1.3 i was having high fps into the 90's with setting on med-high, now i have fps in the 30-40 range with settings on low-none.
can you suggest anything to bring the FPS back up to what we used to have?
i checked all my ravenshield tweeks and they all look good still

Oh gee, I dunno, how about cd-key problems?! 3 patches and no fix to it. I'm no Einstein, but I think if Ubi disabled the cd-key check (NO WAY!) until they actually fixed it, then ppl like me might actually be able to play multi.
But that's too easy, so it probably will never happen.

Here's a new one... don't know if this is unique to my system or not but after patching to 1.3, all the menu/loading screens (640x480 I assume) were all out of whack (adjustment wise). I guess I could just re-adjust my monitor, but that would effect all my other 640x480 stuff (which are all fine at the moment). Like I said, it was fine with 1.2, but after 1.3 it looks like a color version of an old 1950's TV with 1/4 of the screen missing 8)

PS: The actual gameplay (1024x768) is normal, and my desktop is set to 800x600.

NVG still drives down fps into the red range. ATI 9700 PRO users should not have to degrade the visual quality by disabling the Anti-Alias feature in order to keep the NVG FPS at an acceptable rate.
Again, as in my past tech support submittal. There is way too much stutter when observing through another players death camera.
This patch has improved the fps overall, It has now begun to be playable for myself.

since I upgraded to 1.3 yesterday I'm getting hard lock ups with a blue screen(no error message) if I retry a mission several times (i.e hitting ESC and then selecting retry action).
WinXP+SP1, Radeon 9800 Pro + Cat 3.4.
also there seems to be a problem with enemies' vision in night missions, they spot me across a dark room as if I had "Shoot Me" tatooed on my forehead with glowing dye.
more a request than a bug, could you please add an option to replace the green night vision with a gray night vision 'cause the green is an eye killer.

I confirm lower framerates with the 1.3 patch, wish I had not applied it. Now I have to uninstall everything and start over to get back to where I was.
I will also repeat a problem already mentioned since it seems Ubisoft did not hear it enough between now and since the game was released. Nitevision drops frame rate tons on ATI Radeon 9700 Pro ( you know brand card the game is optimized for) and it apparently was not fixed in this patch.

As for your lock ups, try disabling USWC video cache mode (via BIOS settings) and try UC instead, it looks like it worked for me (9800Pro+Cat3.4)
If it don't solve your problem, try reducing agp to 4x, and disabling AGP FW and / or AGP SBA.
Well, in fact, just try to downgrade anything related to AGP "performance".
It should have minor impact on your fps but may solve your problems.
