Ok a number of you are wondering where is china? this backstory incorporates how china would be included as well as maybe even efrica as well as canada and even the tiny little nation of australia :P (i'm aussy so leave me alone)

it all strats with the war spilling into the african theatre, by 2020 africa has pulled it self out of its downward slide. it is now the worlds main production zone it has overtaken china with this and proper leadership africa makes itself prominent and builds its military it is fighting don't ask me why lol.

With china no longer the worlds biggest producers of happy meal toys along with the oil crisis they find themselves in a serious recesion. so they push for an asian alliance, which gives you your asian theatre of war.

now because the yanks are JSF i thought well it should include some long time allies in this JSF this si where canada comes in opening up more territory to attack and defend etc. Australia is also a long standing ally of the US so Australia is included in this JSF making our continent at the bottom of the planet possibly a strategic platform for the JSF to launch an assualt on the asian theatre. ta da!

i hear some of u asking about south america and the middle east lets have them as no mans land AI controlled territory up for grabs. with the oil crysis and people realising there is no more oil left in mid east they abandon it so it falls in to a whole lot of mess with sectarian violence all over south america can be similar because of drug cartels.

There, took a bit of brainpower to come up with that one lol and i know its a little porrly written and disjointed. i hope u like some of my brain storming.

this is where another idea comes in not sure if they are doing it or not as u have the eu federation they should have certain proportions of troops with frech acents german accents etc. this being with the us having a multi national JSF you have 7 out of 10 soliders with an american accent 2 out of 10 with a canadian and 1 out of 10 with an aussy accent give it realistic proportions by miltiary sizes

looks like my little back story could be useless now as an interview with de plater says that in campaign you will be hearing about what else is happening around the globe so it looks like they have their own story for what's happening which means that could be on the ball for an expension/sequel

South America will probably be a future theater of operations at some point. Venezuela is mentioned to be part of the new oil cartel so it will probably come in to play at some point. Australia would be a major player in a pacific theater.
