Thread: Why WAIT FOR PS2 Release it for the X and PC! | Forums

  1. #1
The idea that Ubi has decided to wait till 2005 for the sake of the PS2, makes me Ill.
If it's ready for X and PC, release it already!
Don't let the rest of X and PC owners suffer just for the sake that someone bought the wrong system

I ain't suffering. The day I suffer over the delay of a game is the day I lose touch with the rest of my humanity and finally succumb to the power of geekdom.

DUDE!! it's already ready for the PC and XBOX?!!
    WHO CARES ABOUT PS2?!?!
a late release for PS2 couldnt hurt!
XBOX and PC also had to wait when GTA vice was already out for PS2! (ok thats rockstar.. but doesnt matter..)
and splinter cell had to wait for ps2 too! however i have a ps2 (and xbox and pc of course), i dont ****ing care about it! don t dissapoint the fans by waiting for like.. nothing... ur just waiting for 1 console so you can make the great entrance with all the consoles on 1 date!

    Amen Gentleman!

We need to tell everyone about Ubi's "Reason" for not releasing it and demand a pre-release for the systems that it is finished on!!

Come on Ubi! Get with the program!
Besides, Releasing it now for X and PC would create you a buzz for all those people who bought the wrong system!

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "wrong" system. I don't own any modern consoles but they are actually less prone to screw up...no driver updates,no virus's, spyware,no tweaking, etc, etc, etc. They are made for 1 purpose only...to play a game on your tv set ( okay maybe a movie also)

    BUT,

I would have to say...The majority of the $$$$$$$ from gamers comes from PC gamers.

Waiting on PC release for PS2 to be completed is just dumb IMO.

If that was true GR2 wouldn't be going down the way it was.

Besides i have too agree if the game is ready for at least 2 platforms and the 3rd one is holding things up i wouldn't wait. Unless the 3 company paid me big money too hold up, but the way i see it i would just releash the game as soon as it was ready for each one and not wait for any of the others if i had my way. Unless like i said i was paid big to wait.

Believe me the last system i would buy for is the PS2 anyways so why wait for it?

I think it's safe to assume that everyone here is oblivious to the way a product is marketed and the costs involved in scrubbing the current plan and going with a new one. Sorry, but I doubt Ubi is going to throw away many thousands of dollars just because a few people have no patience.

Even if they decided to do this, you still won't see the product for several months while they work out a new advertising scheme, buy advertising space and form a distribution plan (which includes early copies for review).

Ok, I really don't get why we should wait for a PS2 version to come out. Even if they have thousands of dollars put into some campaign, they don't really need a campaign. I myself found out about BIA from a friend, and all I needed was to watch the E3 demo to fall in love with BIA. At this sort of rate, a lot of people can find out about it with no cost to Ubi. Also, if they release it now, they'll be able to pay everybody instead of waiting till february or whenever to get the boost of money the game will be generating. It's a lot better if they release it now for everybody's interests.
