Why cant I exit my patrol when I've reach my grid and did my patrol time of 24 hrs ? Or what do I need todo to exit my patrol and start a new patrol? this doesn't happen every time just some of the time.

To end your patrol, you can navigate back to within 30 kms of your home port, then hit the escape key. You will be given the option to dock at: X, your base. Click to accept.

You are not iron-bound to accept all of your patrol orders. It is just that you will receive more renown points if you fulfill you mission orders. If you run into a convoy while going to your patrol zone and have used up all of your torpedoes, there's no point in sailing to your patrol area, unless you really want those points. Patrolling your zone for the minimum 24 hours will give you so many renown points, as will navigating back to your home port. If you exit patrol while still far at sea, you should still be credited with a patrol, but you will not earn as much renown as if you sailed all the way home.

To exit your patrol you need to surfaced, and not under attack i.e. if your stealth meter is red, you won't get the option to exit patrol, it must be green.

    Good luck!
