Thread: How about this for fans? | Forums

I personally loved the old Splinter Cell. It was Splinter Cell. I understand a lot of people don't have the patience for that style of game and prefer the Michael Bay style of quick action. Rather than soil what was how about a new franchise Ubi Soft?

    "Tom Clancy's Sam Fisher Saga's"

Or if you insist on using Splinter Cell

"Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Advanced War Fighter"

    Or

    "Tom Clancy's Spinter Cell: Vegas"

I don't mind the game I just mourn the passing of a clssic. Spies vs. mercs was sweet too.

    Totally agree with you!

The game is great, innovative and all. But it is not Splinter Cell.
If they renamed this '24', then you would have an instant classic.
But it will sell millions, will get a lot of new fans. Feel sorry for the old hardcore fans.

As Victor Coste put it:" The Sam Fisher you knew is dead".
Farewell Sam Fisher. Glad knowing ya!
    SAM FISHER R.I.P.

And now a message to Ubi:
    - What were you thinking? I didn't shoot Lambert!
    - Unlimited Mark&Execute? Make it more challenging!!! Make Sam reload, give'im limited ammo.
    - Black and white changes? No trademark NV googles? Whatttt???
    - And finally: I don't want be a panther, I want to be a Splinter Cell!!!

And for the next? The way it is headed it will be Splinter Cell: Vegas! For sure..

the only one I really had a problem with was Lambert. the technology is there to do it Mass Effect style and base it on what decisions you made in DA.

I'd prefer it if Ubisoft just kept the story progression linear to be honest. That way it's impossible for them to get backed into a corner like they did at the end of Double Agent. Maybe that's just me.

I agree. You either go Heavy Rain style or linear story. In DA, Ubi's marketing department made you believe that it was possible to turn Sam in a terrorist. But in the end, between killing Enrica or blowing up half of Mexico, you had the same mission that was to stop Dufraine. And all you got for your decisions was two lame and one cool endings. So, if Sam is to always be the good guy, keep it linear.

You've all been spoiled by Mass Effect 2. I remember the days where you'd have options, but only one would be canon. Suddenly they do it once and everyone's up in arms about it!

I personally thought that killing Lambert was really a nice touch to Double Agent. I, being the horribly goody two-shoes that I am, didn't, but really that's how it should've been. When you're a double agent, you HAVE to keep your cover. Sam might be invulnerable in your minds, but in the game he's just one guy, no matter how you play it. He never would've left that compound alive. Of course, I have no experience with being a double agent, so what the hell do I know :P
