No
Not if it will be like Halo where you are trying to run people over all the time.
I'm not sure how this feature would help, as GR is supposed to be focused on Squad tactics. I think it would ultimately take away from the game rather than add to it.
Make the vehicules realistic and you wont see that...

That would mean tanks requiring more than one person to operate it, and the view would have to be in first person only. No third person view like in Halo or GR2. The view out of a tank is very limited, and it would be lame to give the ots view to those in a tank.
Like jchung said, this is (supposed to be) a squad-based tactics game... not a "warfare" game. GR can have vehicle interaction (escorting vehicles, blowing up vehicles, or having AI controlled choppers hunt you down) but giving players ability to operate vehicles would be the absolute death bell for this game.
In my opinion...

Everyone usually tends to answer this question with: "No, go play Halo if you want vehicles..."
BUT... What if the teams aren't even like in almost every game these days; 10+10 of the same clones with the same weapons. You know, the same old stuff re-done in amost every shooter only with better graphics.
But now think of a team of Ghosts and a team of an opposing army.
The ghosts would have anti-vehicle weapons, weapons with better zoom, better cammo, and are silent. The opposing army could use diverent kinds of vehicles like jeeps, APC's, ..etc and choppers to hunt down the ghosts. Afcourse the vehicles would make lot's of noise and are much more obvious to see. And possible as a restriction to balance it down a bit those soldiers would have less zoom on there rifles.
Don't immidiately think of games with 8 ghosts versus a group of 6 tanks, choppers... But for example just 2 jeeps both with 2 passengers in front and like 4 in the back (12 persons).
They could quickly move together through the map and search for ghosts. But if not being carefull they easily could be taken out all at once in an ambush (Imagine that online ambushes does that sounds Halo-ish?). Think of all the possibilities and tactics that would be possible now.
Doing it this way and not the vehicles free for all way I think online MP will be much more objective based, better and even more tactical than it is now.
Edit: Some grammar errors.
I'm going to have to go with a big "NO" as well. It would tend to lose it's focus and vehicles would tend to dominate the game either in the case of transporting or using as an offensive weapon.
Special units aren't given missions where vehicles are used and if they were, it would be an entirely different game.....thus getting farther away from where the franchise should be.
Don't run, you'll just die tired.
Thanks for your input everyone. I wasn't thinking of a halo type game either but more in terms of objective based. I just got in my head the idea of a real convoy ambush. Something like... One team has to drive the APC or cargo vehicle through the ravine with an escort to protect and the other team has to destroy it. I'm also a big fan of huge maps that include turrets (like GR1) and providing a vehicle to assault an opposing base with its own turret would add a dynamic I'd enjoy; but that's just me. Any other thoughts, please post!
Red that sounds like a cool mission type team game, the only thing that would worry me is who would drive the vehicle on my team cus i dont think i trust any of them to not run everyone on the team over![]()
